I’m trying to play a dvd on windows media player but all I hear is the audio. It has like a blue picture in the middle of a disc but the video will not show up. How do I fix this? Is there another way to play the dvd on my computer?

I haven’t had this case. But i suggest you to try VLC Playyer that works and untick audio when u install so u can use VlC for movies and Windowsmedia player for Music…

People on tv are seen as skinny and than being skinny= being happy.

So they think being super skinny will make them like them and be happy, but it a load of orgainc bull sh*t

Am doing a speech on how media effects teens so I need a introduction to that speech that’s kinda funny n creative so I can draw viewers attention. Just give some random sentences that related to our media n it’s effects but they gotta be creative

I’d prefer one that contains a majority of codes so that I can play ‘non standard’ files such as mp4, mkv, in addition to the standard avi files.

cccp, k-lite, if you want a video player that plays the majority of video files then vlc media player is a must

Taiyo Yuden are the best, but hard to find in "brick and mortar" stores. I understand that JVC-branded DVD-Rs are made by Taiyo Yuden, so you may be able to find them that way.

The main brand I have used regularly for both work and home are Verbatim, which are excellent. Also, I know a videographer who only uses Sony blank discs.

I would say Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim and Sony are the best 3 brands, in that order.

Memorex had a bad rep for their audio tapes, but their discs seem to be ok (I involuntarily switched to Memorex for convenience when Sam’s Club switched to them from Verbatim, but I think I’ll order some Taiyo Yuden online soon to make sure my discs play on everyone’s players).

The worst blank discs I have ever used are some I bought really cheap (cheap, not inexpensive, best describes them): Princo. Avoid them like the plague or worse — more coasters than discs!

Hi, I’ve seen this happen on a few computers and not just my own but, I’ll put in a disc and try to run a file that’s on the disc when a pop-up window appears asking me how do I want to format the blank disc?

Is there a setting or something to prevent windows from trying to take discs with data and use them as blank media?

I wouldn’t worry about it, it happens with me a lot. I don’t know an exact solution, but whatever you do, DON’T try and format the disc as it says, just simply eject the disc and re-insert it, and it should be recognized as a disc with data on it.

When i play my playlist in windows media player i used to have a list of my playlist on the right side of windows media player while playing my song please can someone tell me how to bring the list back up? Thank you.

Put it on the now playin …then right click the media screen and select show list

I’ve got vista on my pc and whenever i close a game windows media center automatically opens. How do I stop this from happening?
Dont worry i have fixed the problem. For anyone else who wants to know: I right clicked the shortcut to the game, went into properties, then deleted the -mce at the end of the text, clicked ok. That has now foxed the problem and is now working fine.

i have never been good with computers but maybe try uninstalling media player? its all i can think of so if you want to keep it im sorry i dont know. hope this helped!

If you have the video saved on your computer, then just open Movie Maker and import it. If you can’t find it, then you may need to re-download it and make sure to save it to a location you can remember where it’s at.

of course i don’t want to plagiarized because that’s wrong, haha, but i would like some help on websites or reports that did this type of study because i am having a hard time trying to search the media effects on police officers.

Newspaper are the best source. I live in NYC and police brutality or people that have harming cops(cop killers) have been big story in the pass years. Go to nydailynews.com or nypost.com. Look in the archives….there are many story that will people you in your research.
