Why is there no sound when I play a dvd with windows media player?
I’m using windows media player 11, but ive tried it with 10, and whenever i play my dvd the pictures fine, but theres no sound. i know its not my speakers, because ive tested music and it worked perfectly. its also not the dvd because ive tried numerous dvds.
Maybe its the type of dvd… Like theres certain types of cds out there that wont play in car radios, or wont play in cd players and only your computer, maybe its something like that. Or, maybe theres a setting on your computer that makes it mute when playing a dvd. If you have realplayer, it would be alot easier to watch a dvd because youll probally have sound there. But i really dont know. Maybe take one more try witht he speakers. Go to "Control panel", "Sounds, Speech, and audio devices", then adjust your sound and peakers from there. I hope you figure out whats wrong. Ill go look at Windows Media Player to see if I can figure it out….

Just for cosmetic reasons! Please do not mess around with your registry, you may harm your PC. There are 6 backgrounds, 1, 4 and 5 look the best in my opinion, 2 and 3, have got a ‘FPO’ logo. Don’t know what it is? If you like Windows Media Player 12, (which I do, it’s my default media player,) then this is great, Windows Media Player 12 is better than 11, and is now kind of turning a bit iTunes(ish).
