How do I copy a dvd on windows media player?
I have a history with win. 2000 and nero. The laptop I just purchased has win. 7 … which deals with copying differently. When I load a family dvd video that I want to copy into laptop, win. media will open and play it. When I switch to the menu window, however, It reads "unknown dvd" under the title. It will not drag and drop to the burn list. I assume I must download the dvd to the computer first, but I can’t figure out how to do it?
Recommend a software named Daniusoft DVD Ripper. It can convert DVD to more than 40 video formats(such as avi, mp4 which is supported by windows media player) 5X faster than normal converter software. At the same time, if your DVD are copyprotected, it can remove the protection before converting your DVD.
I also found this software will provide free upgrade and can also support editting of the video.
If you’re using Windows Machine, try DVD Ripper for Win

If you’re using Mac, then it’s DVD Ripper for Mac

Good luck
Tip:In order not to harm the quality of the movie on DVD, it’s recommended to convert the DVD to avi format, because avi format can remain the original movie as much as possible.
I want to download Microsoft windows media center software(Not OS)… How to get it?
Currently me using Microsoft windows Xp Pro Sp3.. Which doesn’t have Media Center.. How to get it?
It’s not available for Windows XP Professional. You’ll have to purchase an operating system that includes it, such as Windows 7.

see if there is a windows media player update. go to start control panel system click on hardware go to hardware device manager click on you dvd\cd device controller and click action and scan for device changes, that should get it to recognize the drive again. close windows and reboot and it should pick it up, one other way is to go to computer management and change the auto detect settings.
how to convert a video format called DVD Player Media Document into a file that will play on a tv dvd player?
I have a file called DVD Player Media Document which is a movie file that I can play on my computer media players but I can not burn it with Toast or any other programs so I can watch it on TV. Any suggestions? Do i need to convert the file first? Please help
I am not sure about the DVD Player Media Document. But if it’s a video file, you can burn it to a DVD. Do you see the videos extension, such as .mp4, .avi, etc? If they are files like these, you should be good to burn them to a DVD with a DVD burning tool.
The best and most reliable DVD burning tool that I’ve ever used is a tool called DVD Creator. It’s able to burn all kinds of videos to DVD disc. After that, you can view the DVD on DVD player. It also lets you edit videos and create DVD menus. Easy to use and professional.
You should really give it a try. You may check out at:

Does the K Lite codec pack work with windows media player 11?
I installed the K Lite codec pack with windows media player 9. If i install the media player 11,will it work?
It should. a codec pack just tells the computer what files it knows how to open they aren’t too specific they are pretty flexible i think it would ESPECIALLY since you are upgrading with it not downgrading microsoft is great about backwards compatibility
