Ripping is just …
Ripping is just copying of the audio files from the CD to your computer in some sort of audio format such as .mp3 or .wma. You will still have all you data on the CD.

when i try to rip a cd, none of this appears. all i get is a barren media library with nothing at all to even hint at the possibility of suggesting that winamp is capable of ripping cds.
