Anyone ever burn a DVD using Windows Media Center?
I’ve been trying to burn a DVD using Windows Media Center and an AVI file. It seems to be really, really slow and then aborts around 31%. Has anyone else burned a DVD using Windows Media Center, and if so how long did it take? And what format file did you burn from (AVI, MPEG, or what?)
Thanks!
I have burned many DVDs in MCE from DVR-MS files (basically MPEG with some MS DRM crap). A couple of hours for a movie is not unusual. I had a problem similar to yours several months ago. I suggest you post in the Microsoft XP/Vista MCE newsgroup. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups/reader.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.mediacenter.
Also search through the old posts. I don’t remeber what I did to solve the problem, but by reading through the old posts I found a solution to that and several other problems.
I’ve also burned DVDs directly in Nero 7. Frankly, if it wasn’t for the TV interface, I wouldn’t bother with NCE.
