there are different …
there are different versions of klite according to your needs. Try to install K-Lite’s smallest version, and see if that suits to your needs

but how to disable those which r not required
in my case only ‘Video to Gif Converter’
asked me to get the k-lite codec as it
was not importing AVI file When i was using Windows Movie Maker i imported
audio file to it i saw two icon of ‘ffdshow’ in my System Tray taking huge Ram
I DiSaBlEd ‘ffdshow audio decoder’ from System Tray?
then too video to gif converter is importing
AVI file no problem.

okay waht the hell? i donwload this and then i run it, and it says something like this: You already have an installed version of this, would you like to delete the old version? then i click yes, and it says: could not find verified path.

Well it worked for me too – thanks. too HOWEVER when I play movies using Media Player Classic the picture is jerky. My computer is old and I have noted that the processor load is hovering around the 100% mark. I can’t get the Windows Media Player to work – I only get the audio.. Has anyone any ideas?

tell me what are you trying to install. Is it K-Lite codec pack? which site did you download it from. I suggest you to use a site advisor plugin like WOT to identify good sites from bad ones

it is “Media Usage …
it is “Media Usage Rights Acquisition”, probably it is asking you to download the DRM component for your browser or the media player. I think you should try Media Player 11 from Microsoft (for XP and Vista)

if you want to do that on youtube, you can use the windows movie maker in windows, and add any image or title and add the audio in the audio track, and then convert it to wmv so that you can post it to youtube. I even have a video tutorial about it on this channel

some codecs may be bad but K-Lite codecs won’t fail anyone!
