Perhaps they do use … Perhaps they do use video games at certain situations. But personally, I’ve been to Basic Training and the Drill Sergeants all discourage it. They said they were too unrealistic, and made fun of us by calling us the “Playstation” generation. Because whatever we gain in the form of desensitization from video games, we also lose in form of fitness, practical knowledge, and other things important in a soldier. This was at Fort Benning, too, the Home of the Infantry. I still game though :/
the gov uses games … the gov uses games to train and desensitize military. just like the games are meant to do to you. you’re not REALLY killing people, but it makes the idea easier to accept if you were TOLD it was for a noble cause.
You missed one of … You missed one of the most harmful aspects of media–it’s being used as a tool by government, which controls most of the media, to push lies and agendas to shape and manipulate public opinion and perceptions.
