Oppositions to the effects that the media effects girls in a negative self esteem.?
All types of media is persuading girls that being thin and flawless equals perfect beauty. What are some oppositions to that? ( I am writing a persuasive speech.)
Getting old is bad so get creams and or surgery to make you appear young. Dressing in baggy clothing makes you look like a boy. Dressing in clothing that’s tight equals everyone calling you every name out of the book.

there arnt any studies that state that the media doesnt negatively effect self esteem in teens at least not from what I’ve seen.
Maybe you could focus on all the other reasons teens have self esteem issues like peer pressure, family life, education, hormones, drugs, love life ect
Give the general idea that with all the other problems and issues in teen’s lives the media plays a minor role if any at all…kinda thing
good luck thats a hard one

You just need to look at ultra thin cover models and actresses to realize that there is a gross double standard. Worse, you can’t be in hollywood these days without a boob job, which is major invasive surgery. How many men get major invasive surgery to act?
