    You know what I …
You know what I think. Too many people are trying to become this “other” person they image within their heads and they are forgetting to respect and love what is right in front of them. Too many people are trying to be something else, rather than being themselves. Just be yourself for once. There is no need to compare yourself. Everyone has their own special unique character

On a side note, for a girlfriend, I’d always love a fit girl with a little bit of meat. Not too skinny, not too meaty. :)

    I am a digital …
I am a digital artist and love to edit pictures in Photoshop. But even as such, I dislike the editing and warping they do to models’ bodies and faces. I made a promise to myself never to do that to any of my images.

If you ever compliment a girl on her looks, and she disagrees, this is the reason.

  3. yrahcaz411 Says:

    @kamolaras Wow man, …
@kamolaras Wow man, that was amazing. I feel exactly the same way. You put it into words extremely well. If only we could convince more people to think as we do, there would be no self-esteem issues related to physical appearance.

    Personally, what …
Personally, what gets to me more is when you have a celebrity, who’s pretty and skinny, and yet everyone goes on about how ugly she is. Celebrities look unbelievable because they have personal trainers, plastic surgeons, and photo editors, but when people still think they’re ugly with all of this, what chance do the rest of us have? Like when Britney got “fat”.

    Just a thought…

i think that they are totally over reacting.

wow its sad to see …
wow its sad to see in nearly every paper and magazine that pictures are airbrushed and retouched whats wrong with normal people,we put looks over personality too much its silly, beauty is within the person

    uhh how do people …
uhh how do people put up with them selves I mean I saw a clip from a movie called America the beautiful and some girl was talking about her friend being 11/12 years old dieng of anxity (spelled wrong) the 11/12 year old girld died at 48 pounds! because she kept setting a goal that had killed her to be like thse potoshopped images in stuff!!!!!

hey, this issue exists for dudes too. should I stop training for a six pack, and get a six pack of beer instead? lets see if hot chicks look past beer belly and into the inner dude…

    Damn! The Western …
Damn! The Western world is going insane thanks to the disgusting diets and overweight fat kids. Look no further, got to Japan, Taiwan, or Korea and check the girls there. Cute,Fit,Sexy (now they have boobs, diet change) and Friendly (They make Lucy Liu look average) . It’s the way it is,people. Peace!

  10. Synaps4 Says:

    To focus on weight …
To focus on weight is silly. To focus on fitness, girls have absolutely the right (and sadly so) idea.

Physical appearance means nearly everything early on in meeting people, but that has zero connnection with weight and everything to do with fittness.

You will never catch a guy peeking at the scale youre standing on. He doesnt care about weight. Be fit and ignore the scale.

  11. Roxor128 Says:

    I think the …
I think the emphasis on looks is blown way out of proportion to its actual importance. It’s not helped by the deceptive tactics used both by the media (aggressive retouching of photos) and by individuals on the Internet (using camera angles and cropping to hide the fact that the subject isn’t built like someone from a magazine cover). When communication is reduced to just text, the only thing which has any importance is the mind with whom you’re talking.

  12. ieshghi Says:

    Yes, girls do …
Yes, girls do overreact. The “fatness” of a girl does not determine jow beautiful she is. I personnally know many girls who are skinny and hot, skinny and ugly, meaty and hot, meaty and ugly etc..

  13. tanveerahmed2007 Says:

    yes girls do over …
yes girls do over react to their wieght , they’re makeup etc…

  14. Snowhite808 Says:

    physically not fit …
physically not fit person cannot be attractive for another normal person from that point of view. But – do I know girls who are very skinni and hot – YES. And do I know girls who are healthy, yet somewhat more weightly – and still hot- oww yes. All sorts of exremes are bad – but the worst is the pressure from the society.

  15. dustnureye Says:

    There’s a huge …
There’s a huge difference between being skinny and being FIT. Eating right and exercising makes you fit. Starving yourself makes you skinny. Skinny is not attractive. Alternatively, a woman can be a size 12, but if she’s fit she will look hot. Similarly, I’ve met semi-fat women that I didn’t think were attractive, but know I dancers who probably weight MORE, and have bodies that make me drool (muscle mass is much heavier than fat).

  16. aneeko Says:

    Its about health. …
Its about health. Fat ppl, no matter what their gender is, are unhealthy. However, skinny ppl who eat to little are also unhealthy. I think all ppl should get their to the gym or the jogging track, eat good foods, sleep and rest. Its always about skinny-intermediat-fat in the debate. I think ppl are missing the main issue. The biggest concern is health. Ppl who eat wrong, dont excercise properly and doesn´t give their body the attention it needs, ARE unhealthy. I want a healthy ideal!

  17. Xzeion Says:

from the views of a …
from the views of a guy, do husbands think that their pregnant wife is ugly ? Ill bet she has scraggly hair is bloated from retaining water and hasn’t touched makeup in months but she is the most beautiful you have ever seen her. Beauty is fading and good looks are fleeting but the real beauty is purity. If a man can trust his wife/ girlfriend with absoluteness he has everything.

  18. panpeus Says:

    I’ve found that …
I’ve found that when I compare myself to others — I always lose. I think the issue reaches much farther than weight…I am 5′9” and 130 lbs, but I do not have much of a bust (32A-32AA.) It gets me really down, especially when I hear that I look like a “little boy” or “unwomanly.” The photoshop effect hurts thin girls, too.

  19. amhiafofan Says:

    in my world ( …
in my world (meaning off the tv screen and magazine covers) the look-oriented girls date the look oriented guys – they’re fine with having a pretty/handsome mate and don’t look deeper under the surface, which leaves the nice, inteligent and good looking guys for girls like me (not too skinny yet pretty, with brains and moral values) – If you’re looking for love looks don’t really matter

  20. zoeandron Says:

    …As a result of …
…As a result of these feelings, I have never gone anywhere or done anything without sucking my gut in, in fact, Ive done it that much that its almost naturally to me, also I have never asked a boy out in fear of him dumping me for a prettier, skinnier girl. I wish I weren’t this insecure, but I cant help it…

  21. zoeandron Says:

    Im gonna be honest …
Im gonna be honest here, I do look at girls skinnier and prettier than me, I am extremely insecure at times. I guess I feel that because nobody that isn’t family or a close friend has said I am pretty, I believe that to be like or the same as somebody walking up to me and calling me fat and ugly…. (ill post another comment)

  22. larry9099 Says:

To far one way or …
To far one way or the other is too far. I prefer a woman that is in shape and healthy that does not mean skinny. When your weight starts affecting your lifestyle then there is a problem whether that means too skinny or too heavy. Models, magazines, TV and Cable do affect the way girls feel, act and eat. Education in the lower grades is very important and schools should make this part of their health education.

  23. FatalBlueFlame Says:

    Physical beauty I …
Physical beauty I think is the first step towards attraction. What is beauty? Now a days beauty is defined by the media. It has embedded its definition of beauty into our minds and therefore making us go into a closed minded state leading us to consider that only one type of beauty exist and that everything else is ugly. We cant even trust our own judgement on what is beautifl because thats how bad our minds have been distorted.
