I’m doing a effects essay for class and i was wondering if i could have some help.

My topic is: What are the effects of media on teenage girls?

I was wondering if you could give me some effects.
I have two so far: body image and gender identity.
I need one more.

I’m not sure if this is one, but maybe the way they act? Because they see girls acting provocatively in magazines and films and they think guys like this and will love them for it, so they do that. Plus with drugs, they think it’s cool because you see so many "glamourous" people doing it. Guys do like girls who act like that, but those are the guys who won’t look at you any different to the next girl, just like a piece of meat.

   i work for a teen program over the summer and over the last 7 years i will tell u that things have changed SO much over the last years! they now are wearing more make up because they think they need it to look pretty. want designer everything. also i notice more and more of them drinking and being more sexual because that is what the TV does and that is what they read and they think its ok! they idolize these stars and they don’t even realize it. every little girl wants to grow up to be britney and hannah or who ever. and its just sick. they don’t want to be themselves. they want to be someone else.
