This junk plays videos up to 720×540 pixels and 4000kbps (the heaviest video I have on it). It’s more than excellent!
And yes, 16 million colors are just awesome.
I’ve had the Archos 5 IMT for 5 months and it’s great. Still very great. As long as you don’t drop it or doing anything worse than that, it should be a great player.
THIS is what people … THIS is what people want, they want to watch free or stolen content, watch free streaming media (hulu/flash), they want to play free games (flash), they want their devices to be cheap cause everyone is poor and/or jobless.
people don’t want the ipad..apple basically tells people what they want, but when the economy is like this, they SHOULD be begging people to buy their stupid crap…netbooks are popular cause they’re cheap, people will buy THIS cause its cheap.
I’m not thoroughly … I’m not thoroughly impressed with Archos’ customer service or battery quality. Those are the only blemishes on an otherwise near perfect product line.

I have just … I have just installed the 1.7.33 upgrade and have problems with the wifi, when I switch it on then goes off by itself and only when formatting fixes but after a while becomes the problem
Anyone know if you … Anyone know if you can install stuff from Google Market? like gmail, google maps or any other applications from the android market place?
the only apple … the only apple tablet out now is the newton and is still amazing after 13 years. apple will announce the islate or some name for the tablet january 23rd around that time make sure to check it out. this will be a new tablet.
the headbox dont … the headbox dont work after 2 months
you have to press the shell to make it work
every hour hanging 2-3 times
Fm-Transmitter only usable with Headset
Radio dont work good
The new firmware help not for the crashes
and scrolling is very bad
Archos are cheap and support are is unfriendly

How can you install the full app market? Isnt that a “system” application of some sort?
