why does my windows media player delete my music when i exit it?

Posted on September 14th, 2011 by admin in windows media player | 1 Comment »

when i download music it saves it in ‘my music’ and it usally automatically puts the music in my windows player. but after i did a system restore when i download it still puts it in the windows media player but then when i exit all my newly downloaded music is deleted everytime.

My opinion is that you should use another media player like winamp (its free btw)

What files types can windows media player play in double time?
I have an avi file that I would like to play in double time. What file type can I convert it to so that windows media play can play it in double time?
Which of those file types has the best compression (make minimize file size without compromising video quality)?

Download a video converter.

Which is better in concern with streaming media:Microsoft Silverlight or Adobe Flash Player?

Posted on September 9th, 2011 by admin in microsoft media | 1 Comment »

And PLEASE don’t give personal opinions such as adobe is better because it’s original or awesome.

Regardless of which one is better, Flash by far is the most supported format for viewing streaming media. In other words, some people won’t have Silverlight installed, and will have to download it before they can watch anything. Some people won’t bother if they have to install it. Because of that, I use Flash.

How do I rip music from a CD to Windows Media Player when the rip option isn’t there?

Posted on September 2nd, 2011 by admin in cd media | 1 Comment »

I guess I just have a newer version of WMP because when I insert the disc, the thing pops up asking what i want to do. It doesn’t have the "rip music with windows media player" option. It only has a "play music with windows media player" option. When i try to do it just from opening WMP, there isn’t a rip tab. Only play, burn, and sync tabs.
How can i rip my cd to my library?

Hi, to rip music from a CD to your library, I think you may need a CD ripper.

This tool might help you to rip music from CD straightly.

It’s a video file that I accidentily removed from the list in the library. I still haven’t recovered it.

if you downloaded it it you should be able to find it in your computer. under:
C:\Users\( insert user name)\Downloads

or if you downloaded it with mozilla firefox, you can find your download history by typing
ctrl + J
then right click the download and hit ‘open containing folder’

Where can I get a free codec pack for Windows Media Player 11?

Posted on August 24th, 2011 by admin in media codec | 1 Comment »

I just downloaded Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP, and I wish to play MP4s.

Where can I get a free, trustworthy codec pack to solve this problem? (I’ve tried www.microsoft.com).

Thanks!

Hi, well it depends on which operating system you have. I recommend this codec pack,

http://shark007.net/ scroll down to the bottom of shark007 for the download links

just go there and download the pack for whichever version of windows you may have, th vista version works on the xp..

But in all honesty I recommend gom player or (the kmplayer) which is not to be confused with kmplayer the front for mplayer. the kmplayer is indpendent made by koreans,

http://www.gomlab.com/eng/ gom player

http://blog.pandora.tv/eng/13 the kmplayer

These two players will play almost anything without a codec pack and they are free. Hope this helps you!

How do I get an audio codec for windows media player?

Posted on August 22nd, 2011 by admin in media codec | 1 Comment »

Windows Media Player says I need an audiocodec for a certain song. I don’t know where to download it and what kind. Can you help?
It’s just a track that I downloaded from YouTube as an mp3, using a converter that normally does the job.

You don’t need an audiocodec for music – that’s crazy. You probably downloaded a fake file (probably a malicious fake at that) that’s trying to get you download malware. I can only guess where you got this file from (mp3rocket? frostwire?) though you should have specified that. Are you sure it’s a genuine media file? what format is this song file in? (these questions are posted everyday but almost no one thinks to specify the format of the file – it’s always "song" or "music").

If you want to give it a second try, try installing VLC player – it’s an unglamorous piece of software but it will play formats of files that wmp won’t.
