The only options are ‘recorded tv’ and ‘live tv setup’

If the download completed it should be under “TV” on the main menu. Was it there before you restarted?

I still can’t get internet tv, I followed the steps with the download, which I did and it said that it’ll download a guide or something and once it was completed, I restarted WMC and there wasn’t any changes

You will only need a tv tuner for broadcast tv, but you can still access Internet TV. Here are more details (without the spaces in the URL of course):

I’m windows 7 and i have a tvcard pci in my pc but i can’t record my cable tv shows, media center stops the process, tvcard pci is
a ENCORE ENLTVFM PCI, and when i want to wacth my shows in media center it’s the same, stop the signal.

most OSes are obligated to ahere to copyright restrictions but I’m almost possitive there are some 3rd part programs that let you export the programs to avi and divx formats… though not sure iphone can play Divx.

My friend uses this instead of TiVo, and it won’t let him watch his recorded shows on any portable devices like iPhone. It’s copy guarding everything he tapes. Pointless! Any workarounds?
